Politehnica's European Record

Up to now, Poli played 16 matches in European Competitions: 10 in the UEFA Cup and 6 in the defunct Cup Winners' Cup.

Of these, 7 games were won, 1 drawn and 8 lost, with 15 goals scored and 30 conceded.

Amongst the teams met were the likes of Atletico Madrid, Glasgow Rangers and Real Madrid, of which the white-violets eliminated the first two. Moreover, the team has yet to lose on home soil in European Competitions.

I have a question. I am from Costa Rica and I am a big fan of Liga Deportiva Alajuelense. As you know Winston Parks used to play for us and I heard a rumor that Parks might get cut off the team. What do you know about that? Thank you and visit our blog on: www.alajuelense.com.

As I mentioned a few posts back, Parks and Sanchez were not included on the UEFA List. The reason is that both were a behind on their physical fitness.

If I'm not mistaken, players can be added to the list ("exchanged") if the team reaches the group stages.

But is he still on the team? There is a rumor here that he might get sent back to Costa Rica. What do you know about that?
What do you think of him so far?

Yes, he's still on the team. He just scored his first goal last match, a very important one too.

At this moment, I can't really say what I think of him, because he only played a few minutes since coming here. He does seem a bit slow and he doesn't get involved in the game very much, but that does not mean he can't be a useful player. We'll have to wait and see.
